Acer Aspire 4530 Drivers

**New
WebCam Driver:
I found new WebCam Drivers for Aspire 4530.
It can be found here: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/camera.htm
Download the
SuYin 0.3MP WebCam driver.
It will produce better images without Flickering can add a new Video Record Function.

For Windows 7 (Install 64bit Driver Version whenever applicable to a 64bit Windows OS, some drivers include a 2 in 1 installer to detect what OS you are using)

Chipset Driver:
Go for Nvidia NForce Driver 15.45 at Guru3d Site or ASUS Download Site(For their Mainboards)
Make sure 3 things are installed
  • SMU Driver
  • SMBus Driver
  • Nvidia Storage Driver
Audio Driver:
Go for Realtek Website or Mirrors at Guru3d/laptopvideo2go
Any Version will do preferably latest.

VGA Driver:
Go for Nvidia Download Site Version 195.62 at the moment.

Launch Manager:
Acer Download site

Wireless Driver:
Just do a Windows Update from the OS the latest driver will be pushed down to the system if you included optional updates.

Card Reader Driver (Look for Card Reader Driver Download Section in Realtek Site):
Realtek Website (Not Available on Acer Site because it can work using Windows 7 Generic Driver however a Driver is recommended to maximize USB power savings.

Modem Driver:
Acer Download site since Foxconn don't provide 3rd Party Driver Support

Bluetooth Driver(Look for Bluetooth Driver Download Section in BroadCom Site):
From BroadCom Site or Acer Download site

Touchpad Driver:
LaptopVideo2go Site (For Extra MultiTouch function) or Acer Download site (No MultiTouch)

FingerPrint Driver (For Selected Models):
Acer Download site

Ethernet Driver(Look for BroadCom NetXtreme for Mobile Driver Download Section in BroadCom Site):
From BroadCom(Update Manual Via Windows Device Manager there is no installer) Site or Acer Download site

For Windows Xp users you need to install AMD Processor Driver from AMD Sites otherwise 'Quiet n Cool' wouldn't work.
Anyway I don't recommend Windows Xp when Windows 7 is out.

Aspire 4530 Updated BIOS

Hey guys!
Good News!
I discovered a new VGA BIOS Module for Acer Aspire 4530.
Guess which laptop was it from?
It was an EMachine G620!
It also uses Nvidia 9100M G
The original Acer Aspire 4530 VGA BIOS Module is:
BIOS Version 62.77.28.00.01
Dated: 04/23/08
While I found this VGA BIOS in Acer EMachine.

BIOS Version 62.77.28.00.02
Dated: 04/23/08
I tested on one of my BIOS archive and it works.
Soon I am going to update all my BIOS with this newer VGA BIOS Module.
You can see the change in VGA BIOS version when you press F2 to Enter BIOS.
Keep your eyes peeled.

Fix For Acer Aspire 4530 AMD-V BIOS Bug

I thought that it was time to address some issues with Aspire 4530.
It bugs me that there is a bug in the BIOS with regards to Acer Aspire 4530 AMD-V Hardware Virtualisation.
I encounter the issue occasionally something it was able to boot to XPMode and freeze during restart.

Sometimes there is a BSOD Screen Message "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval. "
Sometimes it just freezes with no Message or error handling.

I think we should use the power of the web to demand a fix for our computers just as the Dell Guys did.
It should be a similar issue as the Dell Owners were having issues with AMD-V as well and it was fixed with an unofficial update.

If I knew what was changed then I would be able to mod the BIOS but unfortunately I have no idea so guys, I urge you to bug Acer for a BIOS fix.
If they said that they do not support Professional / Ultimate Windows 7 then ask why was the relevant drivers provided on their support site?
This sort of response is just to get us off their backs we should persist and demand it solved as it shouldn't be broken in the first place, this is a bug fix not an additional feature.

Please guys just take 5 mins to fill this up.

Problem Type:
Request Updated BIOS
Errors Message:
A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.
Describe your Problem:
The laptop in Question is Acer Aspire 4530 which is not selectable in the drop down box.
When Hardware Virtualisation is enabled the laptop freezes sometimes displaying the error message.
Only a force shutdown can bring the laptop out of the frozen state.
Please use BIOS Version 1.3333/1.3334 as a base for bug fixes as 1.3335/1.3336 isn't stable. It has a shutdown, restart issue when all power is removed and restored.

Interesting Projects I liked to do

According to notebookcheck there is a Quadro Equivalent of 9100M G it is the Quadro NVS 150M.
Both feature 8 shaders and are based on 9200M GS Core.
Therefore there is a possibility of replacing the 9100M G VGA BIOS Module with a Quadro NVS 150M BIOS.
We all know Quadro and Geforce are the same board one optimized for Direct X (GeForce) one optimized for OpenGL(Quadro).
Unfortunate only Toshiba Laptops feature NVS 150M and they use special BIOS with a .COM extension therefore I am unable to extract the VGA BIOS from that.
Anyone who can help contribute toward this project please drop a message below.
